Policies & Expectations
To maintain a smooth and supportive learning experience, we ask all families to review and follow our program policies. These guidelines help ensure safety, respect, and consistency for every student we serve.
Attendance
Parents are advised to cancel within 24 hours of their child’s appointed start time. However, we at Sasha Awesome Tutoring recognize that advanced notice is sometimes impossible.
A child is allowed three consecutive absences before their slot is no longer available. Following that, if your child meets the three straight absences, you have two options: you can pay in advance for the following week to secure your child’s spot, or you will have to re-register your child when you are ready to resume services.
Students are allowed a 15-minute grace period. After 15 minutes, the student’s session is canceled and will resume next week.
Payment
Square Up and cash are the preferred payment types accepted. Zelle and Apple Pay will be accepted as well. Invoices and or requests will be sent with confirmations before your child's designated start time. The payment must be submitted at the start of sessions. Payments NOT received within 24 hours will receive an additional $10 late fee.
If a student has a past due balance from the previous week, they can not participate in sessions until that balance is paid.
Parent involvement
Parental involvement is an essential factor for successful education. Children whose families engage in their academics are more likely to excel. This is a crucial factor in a kid’s academic success. So, parents may ask how I can get involved. Ms. Sasha recommends a few things: consistently connecting with your child’s teacher, reading with your child every day for 15 minutes, going over addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division flashcards, etc.
Consistency
Consistency is key to achieving academic goals within the first six weeks of sessions. This includes regularly attending sessions, utilizing homework assistance, and completing recommended materials. Boom Learning and Khan Academy. Typically, students experience an initial boost in confidence, increased participation, and a willingness to ask for help, which eventually leads to improved grades. However, it’s important to remember that this progress does not happen overnight; it requires dedication from everyone involved.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
To maintain a safe, smooth, and productive environment for all students, we kindly ask that families follow the guidelines outlined below:
Drop-Off Guidelines
Earliest Drop-Off Time: Students may be dropped off no earlier than 5 minutes before their scheduled session.
Pick-Up Guidelines
Timely Pick-Up Is Required: Sessions are scheduled 15 minutes apart, so students must be picked up promptly at the end of their session.
Our program operates as drop-off and pick-up only.
To support a focused and productive learning environment:
Parents/guardians are not permitted to sit in during sessions. This helps minimize distractions and encourages student independence.
Virtual Session Expectations
Cameras must remain on throughout virtual sessions.
If a student is asked more than twice to turn on their camera, they will be removed from the session, and payment will still be required.
All students must have a binder to organize and keep track of tutoring materials. This applies to both in-person and virtual students.
